Not sure why I find cell phone humor so funny, but I think it must be a generational thing. And how old am I? Well, let’s just say I’m old enough to remember when we had party lines.
Here are my “Top 10” cell phone memes … some of which help me feel kind of ancient. Especially the last one.

How to baffle your first grade students: read them a story that has a phone booth in it. They just can’t even imagine…😯😯😯😯😯😯

It’s somewhat nostalgic, isn’t it? I feel so because it reminds me of my youth when I was happy with the electricity for my studies. I hadn’t thought of the cell phones. I am using the cell phones but I believe that it has made life more miserable than what it was 30 years back. I feel lonely and also feel that people have literally no time to spend for me. Everyone is busy anyways I have to adjust to this artificial life, a boon of technology. Thanks a lot for sharing. Take care. 😊🙏🌹

I still have my landline and a very simply cell phone (not a smartphone), which I keep turned off most of the time.

The second one I find a bit sad because it is true. When I was in high school I had some friends who moved out of state. Our parents limited when we could call (weekends and evenings) and how long we could talk.

I remember the amazement when I was first able to call a friend in Alaska without having to worry about the time of day or how much it would cost.

I must admit, I still have a land line. And I’ve used it more than once to find a cell phone.

Ah, yes, the “party line” that did NOT mean who was going to get into the bar! 🙂I recall when Dad and Mom finally got a private line: “Now Mrs. Gallipo won’t be able to listen in!”

When I was a kid, we were warned to watch what we said on the phone because you never knew who might be eavesdropping.
